WHAT DOES THE 2021 CHEVY TRAX OFFER?

As a compact crossover, the Chevy Trax is expectedly easy to maneuver and is great on gas. In addition, though, the Chevy Trax has a solid list of standard features. For the 2021 model year-its seventh consecutive model year-the vehicle is split into LT and the LS trim levels.
PERFORMANCE
Powering the 2021 Chevy Trax is a 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine, which outputs 155 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. Hitched to a six-speed automatic transmission, the engine is suitable for city driving. Engine power is sent to the front wheels, and fuel economy peaks at an EPA-estimated 26 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, which is above average for a subcompact SUV. However, to maximize tire hold onto the driving surface, swap the standard front-wheel drive with an all-wheel drivetrain.
INTERIOR
The 2021 Trax provides two rows of cloth-trimmed seats to accommodate up to five people. The front combines a six-way manually adjustable driver's seat and a four-way manually adjustable front passenger seat. The rear seats have 60/40 split-folding capability to maximize cargo volume when necessary, and Chevrolet provides four cargo tie downs for securing cargo behind the rear seats. If you go with the LT, the cargo area is enhanced with the addition of a shelf to conceal smaller items, underseat storage is added on the front passenger side, and the cloth seat trim gives way to more luxurious deluxe cloth-and-leatherette upholstery.
COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE
With remote keyless entry, you can lock and unlock the doors of the 2021 Trax with the corresponding key fob buttons. The vehicle has the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System, which puts together a six-speaker AM/FM stereo system, Bluetooth wireless technology for hands-free phone calling and audio streaming, smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot for 4G LTE Internet access, three months of SiriusXM Radio, and a 7-inch color touchscreen for its interface. A pair of USB ports and an audio jack are provided for playing content from or charging portable devices, and the vehicle's OnStar system enable subscription to a variety of in-vehicle safety, security, and remote services to enhance the overall owner experience.
At the LT trim level, the Chevy Trax has additional remote start. Consequently, you can start the vehicle's engine before you even get into the cabin. In addition, you can activate the climate control system to either warm it up or cool it down-depending on the weather-before you get in.
SAFETY
For driver assistance, the 2021 Trax relies on a rearview camera, which shows you a video image of the area directly behind you when low-speed reversing. For crash protection, the crossover comes with 10 airbags, which consist of knee airbags for the driver and front passenger, a pair of frontal airbags, a pair of front seat-mounted side impact airbags, and two front and two rear side curtain airbags. Other standard safety features on the Trax includes StabiliTrak for electronic stability and traction control, an anti-lock braking system to prevent wheel lockup when abruptly applying the brakes, and daytime running lamps for making your vehicle more visible to pedestrians and other motorists during the daytime. Theft deterrence on the Trax comes from the combination of remote keyless entry and a panic alarm. If you go with the LT gains cruise control for setting a safe following distance, disc brakes that replace the rear drum ones for quicker stopping ability, and LEDs that replace the halogen light bulbs on the daytime running lamps for brighter and longer-lasting illumination.
